New BSNL SMS STV Plans from January 2013 – Revised Tariff Vouchers

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revised its SMS Plans once again, with effective termination of its previous plans it has introduced 5 new ones. These SMS packs are valid for both 2G and 3G GSM customers new as well as existing. Earlier 4 SMS plans were there which offered bulk SMS facility, those were of value Rs. 13, Rs. 52, Rs. 20, Rs. 31.These 4 plans are now terminated and no BSNL subscriber will be able to use them after 31st December 2012.

The changes are made in compliance with new TRAI policy, according to new telecom policy a termination charged will be levied on the sender and thus the plans are created accordingly to meet the change.

India’s National telecom Backbone and GSM service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) once again rationalize its SMS tariff with the launch of 5 new SMS Packs for its 2G and 3G GSM subscribers.

These SMS tariffs will be applicable till first 100 SMS per day and subscribers will be charged at 50 paisa per SMS or base tariff whichever is higher beyond 100 SMS per day as per latest TRAI regulation. The subscribers can thus send 100 SMS for 0.5 Rupees only and additional charges will be levied after the Cap of 100 SMS per day.

Rs.52 Local/National On-net SMS @ 0.05p (1/2 Paisa – Half Paisa per SMS) & Local/National Off-net-SMS @ 10p 60 Days
Rs.83 Local/National On-net SMS @ 0.05p (1/2 Paisa – Half Paisa per SMS) & Local/National Off-net-SMS @ 7p 20 Days

Note :

  • The local recharge centers can charge additional Rs.3 on these recharges above the MRP as per the feasibility.
  • All existing as well as new 2G/3G GSM subscriber can avail these SMS STV Plans.
